Couldn’t Stay Away!

Though not many might care to remember, but once upon a blog, DrPrepaid had a decent following of a few thousand. With detailed breakdown of prepaid wireless plans, and breaking news, even some scoops on plan and handset releases. This being a one-person operation, life got in the way and I ended up abandoning the site to concentrate on my wireless business. But, 2009 has been magnetic in what it brought us: a plethora of offerings on the prepaid side of the industry that I always figured was a few years away. Provider after the next, MNO and MVNO alike, have been slashing prices and coming up with very exciting and cheap all-you-can-eat plans. What’s a boy to do? Well, bring back the web log, of course. So here it is, a shell of a site with a lot of work yet to be done to bring it back to where and what it was: an almost comprehensive and extremely useful resource to those wanting to take that leap from contract to prepaid wireless.

Prepaid cell phone service is here, and it’s here to stay. DrPrepaid will breakdown the plans, the carriers, the offerings, like in the old days. We’ll report on industry news and bring you the latest and greatest as it happens. Stay tuned!
